Our first flower truck event

Whew. I'm sitting down with a cup of coffee after a whirlwind few days, excited to fill you in on what's been happening around here! Remember when I said back in January that I would try to blog and email once a week? (lol). But the good news is that I've got tulips and daffodils on as many surfaces as possible, and it feels wonderful to finally have fresh flowers again.

So. On Thursday, I was introduced to the awesome team at Stoneface Brewery and they asked if we could chat about doing an event with the flower truck on Saturday. To which I said "yes I think so," then hung up the phone and quietly panicked for two minutes before telling Robbie we had to finish building out Clover in less than two days. You can imagine his response, something about that being crazy. But truthfully I wasn't listening, because I already had the car in reverse on the way to buy the buckets I'd been procrastinating on.

After a supply run for crates, a little paint, lots of tulip harvesting, a trip to the wholesaler for a few extra goodies, and bucket assembly, our girl was ready for her close up much sooner than we expected. We posted up at Stoneface on Saturday morning (after a wood plank holding up the canvas top cracked on the ride there 😳) completely unsure of what to expect, and ended up having a blast. We met lots of flower-loving folks, drank great beers, made a bunch of bouquets, and ended up with exactly two stems left. I feel so grateful and inspired (and tired 😅), and cannot wait for more truck pop-ups to come. We've got a few lined up for June so I'll be sure to share those dates.

P.S. - Another exciting event coming up: I'm teaming up with Naomi Azriel and Paige Lindsey Designs for The Art of Flowers workshop, all about tulips on Saturday May 13th at Vine 32 wine bar in Bedford! During this 3-part workshop, I'm going to share some beautiful varieties and how to grow them on your own, Naomi is going to teach us how to design with them, and Paige is going to lead us in painting them with watercolors. There is no experience or skill necessary: come enjoy the magic of flowers and get creative (with a glass of wine!). Bring yourself, your Mom, or a friend. Hope to see you there!
